Photojournal of our family, a.k.a., G-Pod, 2001 - present.
G-Pod (Grassy Pod) is a play on the names of the Pacific Northwest resident Orca pods. These Southern Residents are actually a large extended family, or clan, comprised of three pods: J, K, and L pods. They are seen most often during summer around Puget Sound in the protected inshore waters of the Salish Sea, especially in Haro Strait, west of San Juan Island, Washington, in the Strait of Juan de Fuca, and Georgia Strait near Fraser River, British Columbia.
