We decided trek to Wisconsin for the month of December, 2001. We loaded up our Honda Odyssey with two 3-month old infants (Brock and Maddy), two dogs (Whitby and Cuzco), two adults (Lisa and Richard), and drove from Seattle to Wisconsin and back.
The only small hiccup occurred on Lookout Pass just east of Wallace, Idaho. Two semis jack-knifed into the barriers on the sides of the highway due to icy conditions. We waited on the side of the road for 90 minutes while waiting for the trucks to be cleared away. The rest of I-90 was clear and dry from Bozeman, Montana, to Madison, Wisconsin. The trip back to Seattle had a little more wintery conditions, but overall it couldn't have been better.
