One last road trip. Alas, Richard's 3 month Family Leave comes to an end. We spent a night in Vancouver before heading to Ucluelet on the west side Vancouver Island.
Maddy, Mom, Brock aboard a British Columbia Ferry from Horseshoe Bay to Vancouver Island.
Pronounced U-Clue-Let. Easy, if you know where to stress the syllables.
A view outside our condo, complete with sea lions barking. A Bald Eagle rested on a tree outside our door.
Our babies eyes are blue, Lisa's are brown, Richard's are blue. Richard is rooting for his left-handed trait to become dominant.
Hiking along the Wild Pacific Trail.
Lisa, Richard, Maddy, Brock, Whitby and Cuzco. We spied another Bald Eagle.
Our second hike of the day, beach walk at Combers Beach between Ucluelet and Tofino.
Mom and Maddy
Papa and Brock
We only saw two other people on the long stretch of beach. There were Black Bear warning signs posted all over. We didn't get the chance to see any, though. We tried out our new MEC Happy Trails child carrier backpacks that we purchased from MEC (Mountain Equipment Co-op) in Vancouver.
