Dane was baptised at St. Joan of Arc's church of Oconomowoc. The church was rebuilt recently at new location from where Dane's mother attended as a child. Mom's brother, Curt, and sister-in-law, Patty were Dane's sponsors. Father Michael was a recent addition to the parish. His interactive and demonstrative style is quite a change from the past. Some images that are sure to endure are of emphatic Hallelujahs, splashing the congregation with large amounts of water from a palm leaf, and liberally applied pungeant oil to Dane's head.
