We stopped at Miss Kim's house in Missoula, Montana for the first night of our road trip. What a fantastic house and location! The property is a few miles from the University of Montana next to the Rattlesnake Creek National Recreation Area.The original part of the house was built in the late 1800's. We had several deer visitors in the yard that night. Kim saw a bear near her house a couple weeks earlier.

Kim has the most unusual muscle located next to her thumb from making empanadas. I wish we had a close up that Hercules-like muscle! She brands her empanadas with the Spanish letter for the variety. B for broccoli, P for chicken, C for Buffalo, H for corn were the ones we sampled.
