After a chance meeting at our local 7-11, we were reunited with an old friend on Lisa's birthday. Yaw Amponsah whom we met through his father, Ghanaian musician, Koo Nimo (Lisa met him in 1998 in Ghana), came over for dinner on March 27th. We last saw Yaw when Maddy and Brock were only a few months old, so he was a bit shocked to see how big they are, not to mention the addition of Dane who greeted him at the door with a big hug! Richard made a great dinner while Lisa caught up with Yaw. He filled us in on the world of Koo and Comfort who are back in Kumasi after spending a couple years in Seattle. The boys were really excited and had lots of energy which they tried to expel by running around the house. Yaw gave a quick drumming demonstration which got the kids up and dancing! Yaw might be giving drumming lessons to all. We requested him to bring his rhumba box next time.
