For our first hike in the mountains of the summer we headed to Twin Falls Trail at Snoqualmie Pass. We played along the river, spied a black caterpillar with yellow spots, visited with a small red squirrel, moved a slug off the trail, mended Brock's knee from a nastly spill, all while meandering our way through the shady forest of old-growth cedar and Douglas fir trees to a cantilevered platform over a cliff face for a view of Lower Twin Falls.
