We took our annual trek across Puget Sound to Kingston to watch the 4th of July Parade. The weather was a wonderful mid-70's. While waiting for the ferry in Edmonds, we played hackysack (first time for the kids) and threw a frisbee. The highlight again was the float by the band Paundy. Their float theme was The Day Kingston Stood Still, inspired by the 1950's science fiction film The Day The Earth Stood Still. Bob Anderson came over our house later in the day to eat and play more hackysack. We went down to papa's work to watch the Lake Union fireworks display from the 3rd floor deck.
