The kids earned the title Road Warriors as we embarked upon our third road trip from Seattle to Wisconsin and back in five years. This feat is not only notable for its length, but also because it was made with three kids 5 years old and under that had almost perfect behavior. Out of 6.5 days of total driving, only the 2 year old had a single, somewhat crabby day. In 4,200 miles of traveling, the portable DVD player was pulled out only once to watch the Disney movie of Cinderella. The kids also experienced their first tornado as we drove near one that touched down by I-90 between Austin and Rochester, Minnesota, during the ride east. The trip was a success as our kids were able to play with their cousins and other relatives, chat with their Great Grandmother, have fun on a couple lakes, roam our old stomping grounds, and tour historical sites along the drive. The twins turned 5 during the time in Wisconsin as well.
