Maddy and Brock turned 6 years old! Bob joined us for the two birthday adventures. First, we traveled up to Monroe, WA, to visit the Reptile Man's Serpentarium. There were all the standard kid favorites: snakes, turtles, frogs, lizards, alligators, tarantulas and hissing cockroaches. The oddest of an odd bunch was a two-headed turtle. The highlight was holding cuddly Burmese Albino Python.

Next, we drove to Robinhood Lanes in Edmonds, WA, where the kids went bowling for the first time. They had a blast. They were naturals with scores in the 70's.

We made it back home late afternoon. Some neighbor kids came over for ice cream cake before dinner from Pagliacci Pizza. Mom made a fruit-topped butterfly cake for Maddy and magician's bunny cake for Brock. They received wonderful gifts, including a planetarium, paper airplane book, magic kit, sewing kit, ancient Egypt kit and electricity kit.
