AUG 2010 G-POD

To The Nines - 31 Aug 2010

Maddy and Brock turned 9 years old! They decided to throw a World Records birthday party held a block away at the Maple Leaf Church. Several events were set up, such as most number of Jenga levels, number of ball held in a baseball mitt, largest bubble and bubble gum bubble, most gloves on one hand in 60 seconds, water balloon toss distance, 100 yard dash, and hippity hop race. Awards were given out for breaking G-Pod records with attempts at breaking the Guinness Book of World Records. Maddy, Brock, Will, and Sadie excelled at multiple events. Stella didn't get as big of a bubble gum bubble as Cameron, but if we had looked to see if there were a record for most pieces of bubble gum chewed at one time, I bet she would have been a contender. A day after the party, Mom took our kids down to the Seattle Center for a tightrope walk at the Pacific Science Center and some bumper car play at the fun zone. Brock and Maddy decided they wanted to go out for dinner at Red Robin downtown to end their birthday celebrations.
